STONY IRONS

Lastly are the Stony-Irons. Stony-Irons make up a very small percentage of falls and are very unique in their appearance. These meteorites are both iron and silicate material forming a very beautiful interior to that of stained glass. These meteorites contain Olivine and Pyroxene crystals interwoven into a matrix of metal. Some of the more famous Stony-Irons include; Glorieta, Imilac, Esquel, and the famous Kansas meteorite, Brenham.
