IRONS

Next, are the Irons. Iron meteorites are basically the centers or cores of the larger parent bodies that have been torn, battered, and ripped apart throughout the millennia. Their outer crust has been stripped from the body, leaving the interior core. This core has seen many impacts, resulting in pieces reaching planet Earth. Some of the more famous iron meteorites include; Canyon Diablo, Campo del Cielo, Gibeon, and Sikhote-Alin. These iron fragments from space are sometimes a true piece of art, with sculpted relief, deep cuts, and fine edged points. By far, the Sikhote-Alin, with its shrapnel like appearance and menacing looks, appeals to most who gaze upon it.  Here are a few example of iron meteorites.
